Launch of the Asi@Connect Project in Bhutan, 20 Aug 2019
20 Aug 19 –The Asi@Connect projectwas officially launched in Bhutan on 20 Aug 2019.
Hosted by the Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT) under the Ministry of Information & Communications (MoIC), the event highlighted Druk Research and Education Network (DrukREN)’s connectivity to Asi@Connect. Through Asi@Connect, Bhutan will be connected to the global research and education networks. More universities and hospitals across Bhutan can now enjoy higher speed network and enhanced access to global resources in the fields of research and education.
A/Prof Lee Bu Sung, Treasurer of SingAREN, was invited to witness the significant event and share aboutSingAREN’s evolution and establishment of SingAREN Open Exchange and its services.
