Jurassic World and Alpine Wonders – SingAREN’s Family Day Celebration
29 Sep 2025 – On Saturday, 20 September 2025, SingAREN held its Family Day at Gardens by the Bay, bringing SingAREN Executive Committee (EXCO) members, staff, and our families together for a fun and relaxing day of discovery at the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.
At the Flower Dome, visitors enjoyed the Alpine Adventure theme — a creative showcase of Switzerland’s alpine landscapes in summer. Iconic landmarks such as Zurich’s St. Peter’s Church, famed for having the largest clock face in Europe, were featured among more than 50 varieties of alpine and seasonal plants.
Over at the Cloud Forest, the highlight was Jurassic World: The Experience. Surrounded by lush greenery and misty waterfalls, participants searched for tiny Compsognathus (“Compys”) hidden along the pathways and met adorable baby dinosaurs, making for plenty of memorable photo opportunities.
The day concluded with a delicious lunch at the Jurassic Nest Food Hall, featuring a diverse range of Asian cuisines, including Michelin-affiliated options. From savoury local favourites to international dishes — topped off with desserts such as ice kachang and ice cream — everyone enjoyed the chance to relax, connect, and share conversations in a unique lush Jurassic setting.
